Position Overview:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Commis Chef to join our kitchen team at Lerice. As a Commis Chef, you'll be working alongside our experienced chefs to deliver delicious brunch dishes and ensure the smooth running of kitchen operations. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to develop their culinary career in a fast-paced, creative kitchen.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and cooking of brunch dishes under the guidance of the Head Chef and Sous Chef.
  • Ensure all dishes are prepared and presented to the highest standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, including washing dishes, cleaning workstations, and managing waste.
  • Assist with kitchen setup and breakdown at the beginning and end of each shift.
  • Support the senior chefs with stock management and ordering of ingredients.
  • Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure efficient and smooth kitchen operations.
  • Stay up-to-date with new trends in brunch cuisine and continually develop your skills.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred but not essential.
  • Passion for food and a strong interest in brunch cuisine.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Understanding of food safety practices and hygiene regulations.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
