Position OverviewWe are looking for Male Complex Support Workers who can navigate challenging behaviours such as verbal and physical aggression whilst encouraging independence, growth and reintegration into the community. 

Empower the participant to achieve their goals by providing direct support in accordance with the individual's PSBP and company guidelines

The team is currently operating in the Wacol area and will transition to North Brisbane over the next six months to establish 24/7 support.

Skills and requirements

Must have experience working with but not limited to:

  • Mental Health
  • Volatile and aggressive behaviours such as verbal & physical aggression Schizophrenia
  • Dementia
  • ASD
  • ABI
  • Personality Disorder

An understanding of mental heath, correction and forensic support is desirable, not mandatory

Initial Engagement

You will begin with approximately 4-hour rapport-building shifts with the client. These shifts are designed to establish trust and familiarity. Over time, this will transition into a full 24/7 support roster.

There are also more shifts available with other clients, should you wish to increase your hours.

Must hold or willingness to obtain

  • Previous experience in supporting individuals with complex needs
  • Valid Driver's Licence
  • Access to acomprehensive insured car with 5 seats
  • NDIS Module - Quality, Safety & You
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check (NDISWC) for paid employment
  • Blue Card (WWCC) for paid employment
  • Current First Aid & CPR certification
