Reuben Hills is looking for an experienced & motivated venue manager

You will be at the heart of our day-to-day operations, ensuring exceptional customer experiences and leading a dedicated and passionate team. This role is a perfect fit for someone with a deep appreciation for coffee, a commitment to delivering top-notch service, and the ability to create a warm and welcoming environment for our guests.

Responsibilities include:

  • Management of day to day cafe operations
  • Management of rosters, hiring, training, and performance of staff
  • Stock and internal process management
  • Collaborating with Head chef and Coffee Bar manager to effectively lead the team
  • Team management, including performance management & conflict resolution
  • Adherence to budgets and targets set by upper management
  • Ability to effectively report to and communicate with upper management on the performance of the business

Applicant requirements:

  • 2 years experience in a hospitality management role
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to report regularly to upper management about the performance of the cafe
  • Excellent interpersonal skills: able to confidently talk with customers and employees, and manage challenging situations as they arise in a professional manor
  • Experience in a busy cafe or restaurants
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and lead by example
  • Ability to effectively manage the team and any conflict or performance issues.
  • Willingness to get your hands dirty and roll up your sleeves
  • Barista skills is a plus
  • RSA certification
