About the role

Black Crow Organics' is seeking an experienced Machinery Operator/ Irrigation Farmhand to join our team in Lower Tenthill and Mulgowie farms, Queensland. This full-time position will involve operating a range of agricultural machinery including GPS equipment.

What you'll be doing

  • Operate and maintain a variety of farm machinery including tractors and irrigation equipment
  • Assist with the setup, monitoring and maintenance of our boom irrigation and water winch systems
  • Perform general farmhand duties such as planting, scuffling, harvesting and packing produce
  • Contribute to the overall care and maintenance of the farm and its equipment
  • Ensure all work is carried out in a safe and efficient manner

What we're looking for

  • Several years' experience operating and maintaining agricultural machinery
  • Proficiency in the use of boom and water winch irrigation systems
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong commitment to health, safety and sustainable farming methods
