ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a results-driven, Sales Consultant/Customer Service member to join our team. You will be responsible for general sales activities, from lead generation through to close for retail and landscaping clients. The successful candidate will be able to achieve sales goals and meet clients' expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow relationships with existing clients, while actively seeking new business opportunities.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through the delivery of excellent sales service.
- Assess customers' needs and provide assistance by discussing available options and information on product features.
- Remain knowledgeable on all products, plant availability, stock levels and new product offers/lines.
- Assist with inventory management and continually expand plant knowledge and understand production cycles.
- Actively work with Sales and Marketing teams to compose and deliver timely product offers to key clients; and
- Prepare regular sales activity and outcome reports for management.
ABOUT YOU
We are looking for someone who is customer-focused, sales driven, excellent computer skills and has a passion for plants.
Key Requirements
- Demonstrated excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft office, with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems and software.
- Horticultural knowledge or a passion for plants.
- Strong customer service skills and focus, with an understanding of sales principles and customer service practices.
- Attention to detail, enthusiasm and initiative.
- Proven ability to respond accordingly to different situations in a timely and professional manner.
- Flexibility and able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Self-motivated with strong time management and multitasking skills.
- Current C class driver's license; and
- Proficiency in English with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Certificate IV in Business or Horticulture (advantageous but not essential).
The ideal candidate will be hands-on, with a positive and "can-do" attitude and the desire to make this a long-term position. They will find themselves in a busy and varied role, within a highly successful Sales team.
