About Us

Police Bank is one of Australia's fastest growing Mutual Banks. We are a progressive, purpose driven financial institution, and we pride ourselves on offering a competitive range of financial products and services, all of which have been created with the needs of our members at front of mind.

About the Role

The Bank Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing all branch operations to ensure the delivery of high-quality financial services, achievement of sales and profitability targets, and compliance with all regulatory and internal policies. The role combines strong leadership, business development, customer relationship management, and operational excellence to drive branch success.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Team Development

  • Ensure a high level of leadership within the branch team, providing regular performance feedback and professional follow-up.
  • Identify and implement appropriate training, development, and cross-skilling opportunities to maintain excellence in performance and product knowledge.
  • Coordinate and contribute to weekly and monthly meetings, reports, presentations, expense reports, and timesheets.

Member Service Excellence

  • Deliver outstanding member service by proactively obtaining feedback to understand and address members' needs, challenges, and perceptions.
  • Effectively handle member complaints to minimize disputes and enhance satisfaction.
  • Introduce and strengthen relationship management strategies to position the Bank as members' primary financial institution.

Sales & Performance

  • Achieve key performance indicators, including personal and home lending targets.
  • Manage the end-to-end member experience for loan products — from application through to settlement — identifying opportunities for growth and engagement.
  • Conduct regular offsite visits to generate new business leads and expand into approved new areas.

Continuous Improvement & Compliance

  • Apply continuous improvement processes and recommend enhancements to improve the member experience and product offerings.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of all relevant policies and procedures, ensuring consistent and professional application aligned with the Bank's risk appetite.

About You

  • Proven experience in branch management, relationship management, or senior home lending within retail banking.
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
  • Solid understanding of banking operations, lending processes, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • A proactive, adaptable approach and genuine passion for delivering outstanding member experiences.
