The Opportunity

We're excited to offer a leadership opportunity within Stockland's highly regarded Queensland Civil and Infrastructure Project Management team, based in Brisbane. As a Senior Project Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our Masterplanned Communities portfolio—one that's experiencing significant and sustained growth, particularly across South East Brisbane.

In this role, you'll lead the delivery of unique and complex civil projects throughout the full project lifecycle, guiding a talented team and collaborating with a broad range of stakeholders to achieve impactful business outcomes. Your strong communication and leadership skills will be key to navigating this dynamic environment.

Based at our Brisbane Head Office, you'll also have the opportunity to travel across multiple project sites, gaining exposure to some of Queensland's most exciting community developments.

This is a two-year initial contract
, offering the chance to make a lasting contribution to a portfolio that's helping shape the future of South East Queensland.

Your main responsibilities, will include:

  • Provide civil project management expertise from project inception to completion
  • Ensure projects are scoped, designed, built and delivered Safely, to required Quality, on time and budget
  • Prepare and execute delivery strategies and employ specialist project management tools to deliver multi-staged projects and lead in infrastructure in a manner that satisfies all required management obligations (e.g. Environmental, Legal, Regulatory etc.)
  • Drive operational improvement through the sharing of best practice across the business
  • Proactive communication and accurate reporting on delivery milestones
  • Facilitate, manage and drive efficiency through project cost plans in partnership with Development Managers, authorities, consultant and contractors to realise cost savings
  • Leading the procurement and delivery of civil, electrical and landscape construction in accordance with the project program
  • Assisting the development team with construction delivery advice and inputs
  • Achieve project construction milestones across multiple construction fronts in the State's project portfolio
  • Lead, coach and mentor less experienced project team members

About you

You are a results-driven and collaborative Senior Project Manager with a strong background in civil and infrastructure projects. You bring leadership, technical expertise, and a proactive mindset to deliver complex projects successfully. Your ability to manage stakeholders, mentor teams, and drive project outcomes makes you an asset to any development team.

To be successful in this role you will have the following skills, experience and qualifications:

  • Proven experience in civil and infrastructure project management, ideally in client-side, contractor, or consultancy roles in Masterpanned Communities
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach and mentor junior team members
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong commercial acumen and experience with procurement and contract administration, particularly with Australian Standard contracts
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong time management
  • Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Construction Management or similar.
