About the Role

We currently have an opportunity for aPlant Operator to work at our Bomaderry CO2 plant to undertake QA checks, load transport containers and assist with maintenance and general tasks. The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate commitment to the Supagas Health, Safety and Environment policies. This role is based in our Bomaderry Branch.

Main duties of the role include:

• Carrying out daily checks of Bomaderry CO2 plant
• Assisting in maintenance tasks when required
• Carrying out batch testing on final product
• Operating plant and fault finding
• On-call roster alternating with the Operations Manager
• Loading third party tankers and vessels
• Embody the 'yes we can' ethos in all aspects of the role and responsibilities
• Basic data entry and reporting
• Adapt, promote and encourage a safety-first approach
• Ensure a safe workplace for all staff and customers in accordance with the quality and safety management systems
• Work with managers in delivering the Supagas safety systems expectations and outcomes
• Support the site manager in applying the work permit system
• Ensure all contractors operate with all Supagas safety rules and permits
• Assist in maintaining spare parts and consumables and associated records
• Assist in ordering and re-ordering of parts/spare parts for maintenance, installations or breakdowns
• Proactively walking the site and undertaking daily checks to ensure reliability of equipment

Key Skills and Experience:

• A current Forklift Licence, desirable
• Experience within a manufacturing environment
• A high level of attention to detail
• Good communication skills
• Willingness and desire to learn production methods, plant and equipment.
• Has the capacity to firmly respond to business performance issues prioritising safety.
• The successful candidate will be required to attend a pre-employment medical examination
