The Role
This is a pivotal leadership role overseeing our Braemar operations. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will be accountable for operational performance, branch growth, and strategic contribution at the national level.
We are seeking an exceptional, self-motivated leader with a track record of success in mining who combines hands-on technical discipline with strong commercial vision.
In this role, you will:
- Lead and inspire the NSW operations team to deliver production, service, and safety outcomes.
- Oversee branch budgets, reporting, and strategic planning with executive-level accountability.
- Ensure WHS compliance and embed a strong safety-first culture.
- Build and strengthen client and supplier relationships through regular mine site visits across the Mudgee, Hunter, and Illawarra regions.
- Drive operational excellence through problem-solving and continuous improvement.
- Contribute to national leadership discussions, supporting long-term growth objectives.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Extensive management experience in underground mining, bulk material handling, or industrial operations.
- Mechanical or engineering trade background with strong technical problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to lead teams, build culture, and deliver results.
- Strong commercial acumen with financial and operational reporting experience.
- A driven, self-motivated approach with the ability to take ownership and thrive under responsibility.
- Track record of delivering improvements and leading change.
Highly Regarded:
- MBA or postgraduate business qualifications.
- Direct experience with conveyor belt cleaners, dust suppression systems, or mining consumables.
- Engineering knowledge in conveyor and materials handling systems.
