Pellet Press Operator

Quayle Milling are currently seeking to employ Press Operators for an immediate start.

Quayle Milling is a manufacturer of premium animal feed using locally sourced ingredients of the highest quality. Located in Young NSW, the Cherry Capital of Australia, our feed mill business supplies the greater part of NSW, with capabilities to supply stockfeed Australia wide.

We offer a wide range of stockfeed products, including pellets and feed nuts for all livestock including sheep, beef and dairy cattle, as well as chickens, rabbits, pigs and alpaca.

Your key responsibilities are but not limited to:

• Prepare equipment and raw materials to make products according to production schedule.
• Responsible for production of quality pellets.
• Follow Quality Control and WHS procedures while working.
• Document production details and complete required logs.
• Take product samples to ensure quality.
• Loading and unloading products and materials.
• Maintain equipment by performing regular cleaning and daily maintenance of pellet presses e.g. check roller settings and die bolts, check and clean press magnets
• Monitor raw material inventory and report stock levels.
• Weigh off vitamin micro additives with a high level of attention to detail
• Support the bagging line operators as required.

Qualifications:

• Current forklift licence, preferred but not essential.
• Experience in feed milling, preferred but not essential.
• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and quality standards.
• Ability to follow instructions and routines.
• Strong attention to detail and good decision-making skills.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, drug, and alcohol screening.
