2 X Position Description Writers– Immediate Start

$60–$75 per hour + super | Contract until 31 Dec | Hybrid (1-2 days in office)

We are looking for an experienced Position Description Writer to join a busy People & Change team as part of the major organizational restructure on an immediate contract, with the potential for extension.

You'll play a key role in designing and documenting roles, engaging with stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with frameworks and standards – all while helping the organization through a period of change.

What you'll be doing

  • Write, review, and update position descriptions
  • Work closely with stakeholders and subject matter experts
  • Provide advice on job design and role analysis
  • Maintain documentation and role description library
  • Support job evaluation processes
  • Ensure alignment with governance and naming conventions

What we're looking for

  • 3–5+ years' experience in position description writing, job analysis, or organisational design
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of capability frameworks and job evaluation processes
  • Experience in HR, workforce planning, or change projects (public sector experience a plus)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment

The details

  • Location: Hybrid – 1–2 days in office (flexible as required)
  • Rate: $60–$75 per hour + super
  • Contract: Until 31 Dec 2025, with possible extension
  • Start: ASAP, pending checks
