Role Highlights

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated payroll professional who can hit the ground running and is immediately available. Strong Preceda experience is essential, as you will be responsible for managing end-to-end payroll processes for the organisation. In this role, you will ensure payroll is processed accurately and on time, maintaining compliance with relevant legislation, awards, and internal policies.

You will provide key support to the payroll team while they focus on critical projects, helping to streamline processes, resolve payroll queries, and maintain accurate employee records. This role offers the chance to make an immediate impact, contribute to the smooth running of payroll operations, and gain exposure to a variety of payroll initiatives across the organisation. Comprehensive training and ongoing support will be provided to help you succeed from day one

Role Overview

Reporting to the Payroll Team Leader, you will play a key role in supporting end-to-end payroll processes within an 11-member team, servicing a workforce of over 4,800 employees across ANZ. You will process timesheets through the Kronos time and attendance system and ensure accurate, timely, and efficient pay runs. This role is essential in maintaining compliance with relevant awards, legislation, and internal policies, while delivering excellent service and support to employees and business leaders alike

Responsibilities

  • Process end-to-end payroll for employees across Australia, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Review and reconcile timesheets from Kronos Time & Attendance system.
  • Maintain accurate employee payroll records and documentation.
  • Ensure payroll compliance with relevant awards, legislation, and internal policies, with strong knowledge of the Clerks Awards, along with knowledge of Enterprise agreements, being essential
  • Manage payroll queries from employees and provide timely resolution.
  • Coordinate with HR for new hires, terminations, leave adjustments, and salary changes.
  • Assist with payroll reporting and preparation for audits.
  • Support month-end and year-end payroll processes.
  • Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance payroll efficiency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with finance and HR teams to ensure seamless payroll operations.

An enthusiastic team player who consistently supports colleagues and contributes to a positive work environment. Possesses strong communication skills, ensuring clear, effective, and collaborative interactions across all levels

Experience in end-to-end payroll using Preceda is a must.
