Exciting Opportunity for a Certified Training and Competency Coordinator at Support Vehicles Australia

Support Vehicles Australia (SVA) is a leading design and manufacturing company specializing in the creation of custom heavy equipment for key clients, primarily in the mining industry across Western Australia. We are proud to deliver high-quality, bespoke solutions and are looking for a dedicated TRAINER to join our team in Bassendean.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Senior Management, Supervisors, HR Lead, HSEQ Lead and subject matter experts to identify training needs and objectives
  • Develop and maintain training packages, including presentations, manuals, and on-line resources.
  • Design and implement training programs tailored to meet company goals and employee development needs.
  • Ensure training content is relevant and complies with legislation and best practices.
  • Investigate and develop external training platforms.
  • Liaise with external training providers.
  • Assist workers with directions/requirements of Recognition of Prior learning.
  • Plan and schedule training sessions. Includes booking venues, gathering materials/equipment or travel arrangements as required.
  • Investigate and report upcoming training requirements including expiring certifications.
  • Maintain Training Register and Training Agreements.
  • Develop and manage internal verification of competency training.
  • Assistance with development of training procedures and work instructions.

Key Skills & Attributes:

  • Understanding of high-risk activities in manufacturing an advantage.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Present group training sessions
  • Previous experience developing online inductions an advantage.
  • A passion for learning and the development of others
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Solid understanding of safety principles and best practice.
  • Experience in a similar industry will be highly regarded

Desirable Qualifications:

  • TAE40122 Cert IV in Training and Assessment as a minimum (essential for this role)
  • Trade Certificate in Engineering (Fabrication/Mechanical Fitting) an advantage.
  • Confined Space Entry / Gas Test Atmosphere (advantage)
  • Working at Heights (advantage)
  • Overhead Crane / Dogging certification (advantage)

This role is a salaried position, working 40-45 hours per week (as required)

$80,000 to $110,000 per annum plus 12% superannuation, depending on experience.
