CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGER

The Traditional Restoration Group, founded in 1985, specializes in Heritage Building Restoration is seeking a Construction Industry Project Manager. This is an opportunity to gain valuable experience and knowledge working on Landmark projects within a project team with an excellent industry reputation, reporting directly to the Project Director. Must have permanent residency or have long term rights to work in Australia without additional sponsorship.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

· interpreting architectural drawings and specifications

· coordinating labour resources, and procurement and delivery of materials, plant and equipment

· consulting with Architects, Engineering Professionals and other professionals, and Technical and Trades Workers

· negotiating with building owners, property developers and subcontractors involved in the construction process to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget

· preparing tenders and contract bids

· operating and implementing coordinated work programs for sites

· ensuring adherence to building legislation and standards of performance, quality, cost and safety

· ensuring adherence to all company policies and procedures as amened from time to time

· building under contract, or subcontracting specialised building services

· overseeing the standard, quality and progress of subcontractors' work

· arranging building inspections by local authorities if applicable

· Providing accurate financial and works progress reports when required and as scheduled

Key Skills Attributes and experience

· Minimum 5 years' experience in the Building Industry

· Project management degree or credentials.

· Managing up to $10,000,000 of work at any one time

· Preference to those applicants with experience in refurbishment and/or heritage listed buildings

· Immediate start

Job Type: Full-time

Base Pay: $135,000.00 – $180,000.00 per year

Education:

  • Advanced Diploma / Associate Degree (Preferred)

Experience:

  • construction project management: 5 years (Preferred)
