About the role

The hospitality and retail Café Assistant provides a practical support service to the Business Unit Program. The Café Assistant assists within the hospitality areas, retail assistance, cashiering, barista duties and providing waiter services.

The role may assist with the ordering and provision of consumables, coordination and maintenance of storage areas, provision of consumables to the classrooms and assistance to lecturers and students in the various store's areas.

Special Conditions

The successful applicant is required to demonstrate having a valid Working With Children Check (WWCC) prior to being employed. Applicants who do not hold a WWCC will need to apply at Department of Human Services (DHS).

  • Some out of hours work may be required.
  • Incumbent will be required to participate in the department's Performance Development Program.
  • Eligibility to work in Australia.
