About the Role

As a Cafe Team Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our cafe and ensuring that our customers receive the highest level of service.

Responsibilities include:

  • Training team members in store processes and procedures.
  • Maintaining a clean workspace in accordance with Food by WHSmith hygiene Standards.
  • Reporting and communicating necessary information and feedback to the Cafe Manager regarding any and all aspects of store operations.
  • Assist in the preparation of both food and beverages/coffees.

This is a casual position with the requirement for flexibility to work from 6am to 6pm.

About You

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following:

  • 2+ years' experience in a food outlet.
  • Supervisory experience in a cafe setting.
  • Great communication skills.
  • Barista experience.
  • Ability to lead and run a shift.
  • Understanding of till reconciliation and cash handling.
  • Exceptional time management skills and reliability.
  • Flexible availability with the ability to start early and open or finish late and close.

You will be a natural leader with excellent soft skills and be able to inspire and motivate your team to deliver exceptional service and maintain high standards.
