Events Production Officer

About your new role

The Community Events Business Unit is excited to offer a fantastic, fixed term full time opportunity for an experienced and talented Events Production Officer to join our team. In this role, you'll take the lead in managing and delivering several of the City's iconic signature and core civic events. You'll also be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive risk management plans while fostering strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
You'll be joining a high-energy, service-focused team committed to achieving excellence. Please note there is an opportunity for some overtime weekend work associated with the delivery of events.

We're looking for someone with the following skills, experience, and attributes:

• A successful track record of planning and executing multiple medium to large-scale public events simultaneously, showcasing exceptional organisational skills.

• Demonstrated ability to develop thorough risk management plans, with effective contingencies to address the complexities of public events.

• Experience in building and managing relationships with diverse stakeholders, ensuring collaboration and alignment.

• A logical problem-solver with strong negotiation skills to navigate challenges effectively.

• A creative Events Production Officer who can refresh and elevate existing annual events with innovative ideas and concepts.

• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities to convey ideas clearly and build trust.

• A meticulous approach to tasks, with the ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

• A vibrant team player who thrives in a fast-paced, energetic environment.
