Abergeldie is a majority locally owned contractor with 30 years' industry experience in Australia and New Zealand. We design and deliver projects in the Water, Bridges, Transport, Underground, Energy and Remediation industry sectors. Projects include dams, bridges, tunnels, water and wastewater treatment process facilities, rail infrastructure, mining infrastructure, electrical substations, marine works and pipeline rehabilitation: the complex infrastructure needed to build better communities.

About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join our NSW Civil Infrastructure team and play a key role in delivering major projects across Sydney and Greater Sydney. This is an opportunity to work on technically challenging and high-profile projects that improve and strengthen community connectivity.

Our NSW Civil Infrastructure team works closely with transport and water agencies and local governments to deliver significant upgrades and new infrastructure. Recent projects include the New Dubbo Bridge, Medlow Bath Upgrade, Hill Road Upgrade, Pitt Town Bypass and West Dapto Road Upgrade, with individual project values typically ranging from $20M to $220M+. We also deliver essential water infrastructure, including bulk water projects, that enhance reliability and sustainability for communities.

As a Senior Project Engineer, you will play a hands-on role in planning and delivering key components of major projects, ensuring safe, timely and high-quality outcomes. You'll work alongside a collaborative team on complex civil works that shape critical infrastructure for the future.

What You'll Bring to the Team

  • A tertiary degree in Civil Engineering
  • Proven experience delivering TfNSW road and/or bridge projects at Senior Project Engineer level
  • Strong technical and commercial acumen
  • Demonstrated success leading teams and subcontractors on major civil projects
  • Effective stakeholder management skills
  • A flexible, can-do attitude and willingness to work on site across Sydney
  • A strong commitment to safety and teamwork
