Business Analyst

Access Group Australia are the nation's largest privately-owned fleet of Access equipment. Our core business facilitates the hiring, selling, servicing, and transporting of elevated work platforms including scissors, boom lifts, telehandlers and forklifts to the Construction, Material Handling and Mining sectors.

In line with our continued business growth, new opportunity exists for a proactive and detail-oriented Business Analyst to join our International Headquarters in Canning Vale.

This role will act as a critical link between stakeholders across Operations, IT/Development, and Marketing departments, ensuring business needs are accurately understood, scoped, and delivered through projects and initiatives.

You will dive deep into business requirements, translate them into actionable stories or project scopes, and work closely with delivery teams to ensure that solutions meet the original intent and add real business value.

In addition, your role will also be responsible for,

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to elicit, define, and document clear and concise business requirements.
• Translating business needs into functional and non-functional requirements, including user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria.
• Working with project managers and product owners to define scope, priorities, and deliverables for work packages or initiatives.
• Partnering with technical teams (IT/Development) to ensure business requirements are understood and implemented effectively.
• Acting as a liaison between stakeholders and delivery teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Supporting UAT planning, execution, and validation to ensure delivered solutions align with business objectives.
• Facilitating workshops, interviews, and meetings to gather insights and align stakeholders.
• Assisting with change impact assessments and contribute to business readiness activities.
• Identifying and documenting gaps, risks, and dependencies, escalating where appropriate.

The successful candidate will be an individual who will honour our core values of People, Safety, Respect, Communication and Continuous Improvement-in addition to this they will have:

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst (3 years preferred), ideally in a cross-functional or multi-disciplinary environment.
• Strong ability to understand and articulate business needs, and translate them into meaningful project scopes or stories.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills-able to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Familiarity with both Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
• Experience with business process mapping, user journey design, or data flow documentation.
• Competent in tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft Office/365 Suite, and process modelling tools (e.g., Visio or Lucidchart).
• Understanding of systems development lifecycle (SDLC) and project governance frameworks.
• Experience supporting UAT or validating project outcomes against requirements.
• A background working in or with Operations, IT/Development, or Marketing teams is highly desirable.
• Proficient in English skills that have been used within a professional working environment (listening, reading, speaking and writing)
• Positive, collaborative and open mindset to working as a team and service delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, Information Systems, or related field.
• Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA, or Agile BA) is a plus.
