About the role
In this position you will be an integral part of our College Leadership Team. You will share responsibility for the leadership of the school's vision, mission and strategic priorities and contribute to the life and good management of the school. You will be delegated responsibility for the co-ordination and supervision of the day-to-day academic operations of the College.
You will work collaboratively with the College Information Technology Team to gather and analyse data on a range of indicators to enhance school performance throughout the college, along with the curriculum leadership of a Director of Teaching and Learning, Academic Deans, Faculty Leaders and administration support.
More broadly, you will support the goals of the College Strategic Plan to pursue enhanced outcomes for all members of the College community.
About the contract
The position is fixed term (5 years + 5), full time. This position is a timetabled teaching role of up to two lines.
About you
To be considered for this role you will need:
· Valid working rights within Australia.
· Be committed to the goals, ethos and mission of the College as a Catholic school in the Edmund Rice Tradition and be willing to support and participate in the prayer, liturgy and sacramental life of the Church in the school community.
· A strong demonstrated commitment to the objectives, vision and ethos of Ignatius Park College.
· Appropriate Tertiary qualifications in Education and a current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers.
· Willingness to achieve Accreditation to Teach in a Catholic School or Accreditation to Teach Religion in a Catholic School (Teachers of Religious Education).
· Additional qualifications in educational leadership (highly desirable).
· Demonstrated teaching and leadership experience within a school environment.
· Willingness to support the co-curricular program.
· Strong people management skills and the ability to build and direct a team of colleagues.
· A demonstrated ability to gather, process and analyse educational, business and other performance data to inform school improvement and decision making.
· The ability to construct, implement and maintain the College timetable using Timetabling Solutions integrated with TASS (The Alpha School System).
· The ability to work in a busy school environment, adapting the daily routine and applying resources to meet variations in the College calendar.
· Outstanding professionalism and the ability to inspire others to a shared vision and ambition for their teams and the wider College.
