About the Role

We are looking for a passionate Front-end Software Developer (Angular) to join our team and play a key role in driving the company's growth by developing innovative web and mobile solutions. As part of the SFI Application Development team, you will collaborate to bring our Xugo Product Roadmap to life. Xugo ) is a cloud-based web solution leveraging Microsoft Azure, designed and developed from the ground up over recent years using the latest web, mobile, and cloud technologies.

Additionally, the role involves working with our Marketing team to maintain the company websites using web content management system WordPress - Elementor, and assisting with graphic creation using Figma. With WordPress we publish monthly blogs, articles and various other web content to support our online presence.

Responsibilities

• Have solid verbal, visual and written communication skills.
• Write clear, readable, reusable and testable code, following ticket specifications.
• Diagnose and enhance existing software to effectively correct and improve existing code.
• Collaborate in a cross-functional Agile team on diverse projects to ensure timely delivery of solutions (implementation and variations) that enhance the client experience.
• Promote 'disciplined agile' practices within the team.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and technical developments and propose their implementation.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Prioritise work requirements and work towards deadlines.

Skill Set

• 5 years hands-on experience in HTML and CSS (Ideally experience with a CSS preprocessor such as LESS/Sass) Javascript and Typescript.
• 3+ years experience with Angular
• Experience with Version Control tools such as Git.
• Familiarity with task management tools like Jira.
• A growth-oriented attitude within the software industry.
• Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines.
• Solid technical experience across web and mobile platforms
• Experience with WordPress, which is utilised for maintaining company websites,

Desirable / What will make you stand out

• Skills in UX/UI design are highly desirable for this role
• Ability to craft wireframes based on an understanding of UI/UX design principles
• Experience with graphics editing software such as Figma and Photoshop/Illustrator is a bonus.
• Experience with the WordPress page-builder plugin Elementor would be an advantage.
• Proficiency in Graphic Design advantageous
• Experience with Blazor, which is utilised for the front end of our mobile application, would also be advantageous.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary or technical qualification in IT.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in a Front-end Software Application Developer role.
• 3+ years experience with Angular (similar)
• Experience building object-oriented web applications in JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
