About the role

Chocolate Buddha is seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Front of House team member to join our vibrant restaurant in the heart of Melbourne. In this part-time role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers and ensuring a seamless dining experience.

What you'll be doing

  • Welcoming and greeting customers in a warm and friendly manner
  • Assisting with seating customers and presenting menus
  • Taking and processing customer orders accurately
  • Ensuring prompt and efficient service of food and drinks
  • Maintaining a clean and well-organised front of house area
  • Handling cash and processing payments
  • Responding to customer inquiries and addressing any concerns
  • Participating in team meetings and contributing to the overall success of the restaurant

What we're looking for

  • Previous experience in a customer-facing role within the hospitality industry
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask
  • A positive and friendly attitude, with a genuine passion for providing exceptional service
  • Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and cash handling
  • A flexible and adaptable approach to work, able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
