About the Role: We are seeking a dynamic Procurement Manager to lead and manage the procurement and supply chain operations. This is a pivotal leadership position responsible for driving procurement efficiency, managing supplier relationships, overseeing stock levels, and ensuring seamless international and local supply chain processes.

You will lead a small but dedicated team, play a key role in strategic sourcing decisions, and contribute to business-wide performance through effective purchasing, negotiations, and supplier management.

Key Responsibilities Leadership & Supervision

  • Lead, mentor, and supervise Procurement Officers and team members.
  • Set priorities, allocate tasks, and manage team performance.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and collaboration.
  • Provide training and development to ensure team excellence.
  • Oversee day-to-day procurement operations, ensuring timely and cost-effective sourcing.
  • Manage relationships with local and international suppliers and contractors.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to maximise value and minimise risk.
  • Monitor stock levels and supply continuity across all departments.

Administration & Reporting

  • Ensure accurate data entry and document management within SAP and CRM systems.
  • Approve purchase orders and major procurement decisions.
  • Track international freight and delivery scheduling.
  • Prepare detailed procurement reports and analysis for senior leadership.
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and relevant regulations.
  • Promote a strong focus on quality and process improvement.
  • Uphold health and safety standards across the procurement function.
  • Act as the escalation point for procurement-related issues.
  • Support broader business operations and contribute to strategic planning.
  • Represent the procurement function in internal meetings and external engagements.

Minimum Experience & Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or purchasing (preferably in industrial or technical sectors).
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management experience.
  • Strong analytical and organisational skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, SAP, and CRM systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of procurement processes, freight management, and supplier engagement.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills with both local and overseas suppliers.
  • Understanding of international currency exchange, pricing, and costing.
