Job Summary:

An excellent opportunity currently exists with one of Australia's leading miners to join a dynamic work environment. As part of a wider team, you will be given autonomy to deliver on some of the nation's most exciting new projects with multi-year plans. The role is best suited to a Civil or Structural Engineer to support our team on a range of G&TS projects. This would be a technical role, ideally suited to someone who has a good eye for detail and compliance knowledge. Remuneration and benefits:

Location of projects:

Bowen Basin region, Queensland. 

FIFO ex-Brisbane or DIDO from the surrounding regions.

About the roles:

We are currently seeking experienced and motivated Engineers or Structural Engineers from a Civildiscipline with project delivery experience with construction and engineering support; a strong understanding of civil construction processes and attention to detail is essential,with a strong understanding of engineering principles, standards, and processes - from both client and contractor sides. 

You will contribute to the integrity and safety of infrastructure by reviewing designs, assessing risks, and ensuring compliance with regulations. 

Your Skills:

  • Deliver and maintain project documentation - drafting and technical documentation;
  • Verifying contractor quantities and site measurements
  • Providing general support across civil project
  • Participate in the application of Project Management processes within the team;
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather specifications and options analysis;
  • Develop project scopes, budgets, schedules, resource requirements and quality criteria;
  • Facilitate business cases, contracting and execution strategies and prepare projects for capital budget approvals;
  • Ensure compliance to Engineering Standards for assigned projects;
  • Manage costs to budget and be accountable for regular forecasting and rectifying variances;
  • Manage the Management of Change process for assigned projects;
  • Drive continuous improvement.
