We are seeking a calm, reliable, and highly organised Support Worker to support an NDIS participant with a mix of daily living tasks, executive-function assistance, and routine support. The ideal worker is autism-affirming, patient, detail-focused, and confident with both in-home support and remote admin tasks.

This role combines companionship, structured routines, ARFID-safe meal support, and light domestic work with admin duties like booking appointments, tracking tasks, and simple tech support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily routines, reminders, and habit tracking
  • Light housework: tidying, laundry, dishes, bed linen
  • ARFID-safe meal preparation, shopping, and ingredient organisation
  • Book and track medical & therapy appointments
  • Organise scripts, pharmacy pickups, and essential errands
  • Support with community outings and transport to appointments
  • Provide calm companionship in low-sensory settings
  • Assist with simple tech tasks (Bluetooth, apps, device setup)
  • Keep short checklists, logs, and written updates
  • Maintain reliability, consistency, and clear written communication

  • Tech-confident (Google Workspace, apps, notes, reminders)
  • Highly organised and able to work independently
  • Calm, patient, detail-oriented personality
  • Comfortable with both admin and home-support tasks
  • Respects boundaries, structure, and predictable routines

Requirements

  • Experience with autism, ADHD, psychosocial disabilities (preferred)
  • Valid NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • First Aid & CPR
  • Driver's licence (preferred)
  • Ability to provide short written shift notes
  • Comfortable with occasional hybrid support (in-person + remote admin)

Hours & Schedule

  • 25–30 hours per week, with potential to increase
  • Preferred days:
  • Monday: 10 AM – 2 PM
  • Tuesday: Before 4:30 PM
  • Wednesday: Flexible
  • Unavailable: Thursday & Friday
  • Occasional weekend/evening support for appointments as needed

Pay Rate

$40 – $50 per hour (depending on skills and experience)

Location

Abbotsford (in-home support)

Hybrid admin support (remote)
