At Kubota Australia and New Zealand we distribute exceptional quality agricultural, construction and power equipment and provide after sales service. We wholesale to a large independent dealer network to ultimately serve Kubota customers.
In your new role as a Product Manager, you will undertake a range of activities to manage the product life cycle for Kubota and Baroness branded grounds care equipment across Australia and New Zealand. Initial product lines/ categories include Kubota Mowing Equipment, Kubota Gianni Ferrari FC series, Baroness Specialist Turf Equipment, and Kubota Lawn Care.
Key accountabilities include:
- Manage allocated product lines/ categories to ensure effective, compliant product development and support aligned with Kubota's dealership agreement, policies, and strategic marketing goals
- Contribute to product planning budgets, including pricing, and performance. Recommend or implement approved improvements or corrective actions
- Provide expert product advice and technical support dealers, commercial users, and end customers
- Lead and support initiatives to enhance dealer performance, inventory management, sales, and marketing efforts, including in-field activities and new product rollouts
- Drive sales growth through strategic communication and pricing strategies that align with margin and profit objectives
- Support the development, compliance, and planning of product ranges to meet market demand
- Create and deliver product presentations, training, and sales communications for dealer, internal teams, and end users
- Maintain and review model offerings, liaising with overseas factories for new model introductions and discontinuations
- Represent the Kubota brand at dealer engagements and industry events
- Perform other duties as directed within scope of expertise
- Ensure personal and team safety in all work environments, including dealer sites and external events, in accordance with OHS policies
To be successful in the role, your resume would include:
- Tertiary qualification in relevant field (preferred) or commensurate industry experience
- Valid Driver's License
- Valid Passport and satisfy all conditions allowing interstate or international travel
- Significant hands-on experience undertaking a broad range of product management activities related to the sale of capital equipment (with a specialisation in mowing, lawn care and specialist turf equipment preferred) with a national/ international remit
- Strong working and technical knowledge of mowing and turf related equipment
- Senior level relationship and account management experience and skills
- Experience in project management/ coordination
- Strong general business acumen
- Highly developed strategic thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Executive level communication (inclusive of reporting copy, writing and presenting), consulting/ advising, influencing and negotiation skills
- Strong numeracy skills and attention detail
- Well-developed planning and organisational skills
- Applied knowledge of relevant and applicable Australian and New Zealand Standards and Trade Practices Act, International Standards and applicable OHS legislation
- Proficient in the use of a range of applications, including but not limited to; ERP system/s (SAP), MS Office/ Google Suites
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively autonomously and within a team
