About the role

Curry Hut Restaurant is seeking a talented Chef and a Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team in a full-time role based in Wattle Grove, WA 6107, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking delicious Indian cuisine to delight our customers. If you have a passion for food and creating exceptional dining experiences, this is an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary skills with an offering wage of $76500-$80000 depending upon experience.

What you'll be doing

  1. Preparing, cooking and presenting a variety of Indian dishes to the highest standard
  2. Ensuring all food is prepared in a safe, hygienic and efficient manner
  3. Handle inventory, monitoring stock levels and place kitchen orders as required
  4. Adhering to food safety regulations and company policies
  5. Rostering, managing and supervising kitchen staff / operations
  6. Creating menus, budgeting food and kitchen costs

What we're looking for

  1. Minimum Certificate III culinary qualifications in food preparation and cooking with 6 months of proven experience in an Indian or Subcontinental cuisine setting as a Cook or Chef. Otherwise at least two years of experience as a Chef or Cook, preferably in an Indian or Subcontinental cuisine setting
  2. Strong knowledge of Indian spices, herbs, and traditional cooking techniques
  3. Excellent time management and multitasking skills to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  4. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  5. Passion for food and a commitment to delivering an outstanding dining experience
