About the Role:
As P&C Manager, you will:
- Lead and manage all aspects of the Human Resources function, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, learning and development, employee relations, and compliance.
- Champion a culture of inclusivity, wellbeing, and continuous improvement activities such as auditing and risk management across the organisation.
- Partner with senior leadership and stakeholders to develop and implement people strategies that align with organisational goals.
- Support managers and staff through coaching, advice, and innovative HR solutions.
- Drive employee engagement and recognition initiatives, ensuring all team members feel valued and heard.
- Ensure policies and procedures comply with current legislation and reflect best practice.
- Promote and facilitate a safe and supportive work environment for all employees.
- Embody and promote the organisation's commitment to working without judgement and with compassion and respect.
- Create and oversee sustainable return-to-work programs, while actively coaching leaders and collaborating with health professionals.
- Industrial & Legislative Compliance – Ensure business practices comply with industrial instruments and employment law through proactive guidance and oversight.
- Lead and manage HRIS (Workday).
About You
We are looking for a people-first leader who brings both strategic insight and a hands-on, empathetic approach to HR management. The ideal candidate will have:
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications, a minimum of a Certificate IV, Diploma, Degree in HR or other applicable post-graduate qualification in an associated discipline.
- Significant experience in HR leadership, preferably within the not-for-profit, or community services sectors.
- Demonstrated experience across all human resources activity functions and proven experience in leading a team of HR professionals.
- A sound knowledge of HR best practices and employment legislation, including in the context of an Enterprise Bargaining Agreement.
- Excellent people skills suitable for clients and staff at all levels.
- Experience in change management, continuous improvement & auditing, organisational development, and supporting staff through periods of transformation.
- A deep commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusive workplace practices.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
- Proactive problem-solving abilities, integrity, and a commitment to ethical practice.
- An ability to lead with empathy, inspire trust, and foster a positive, collaborative culture.
- Proficiency in HRIS (preferably Workday) and advanced computer literacy, including Microsoft Office 365.
- A current Drivers Licence.
- Willingness to undergo NDIS Worker Screening Check.
