MEX is a leading software company that specializes in developing cutting-edge solutions for CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software. Committed to innovation and excellence, we are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Business Analyst to join our Engineering Team.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of our projects by engaging with clients, understanding their needs, and translating them into comprehensive requirements for our development teams. As a Junior Business Analyst, we are looking for some one wanting to refine or grow their skillset as they continue to learn the facets of the role.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Communication:

  • Establish and maintain effective communication with clients to understand their business objectives and requirements.

  • Conduct regular meetings with clients to provide project updates and gather feedback.

  • Act as a liaison between the client and internal development teams, ensuring a clear understanding of client expectations.

Requirements Elicitation:

  • Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to elicit, document, and refine business requirements.

  • Conduct thorough analysis of business processes to identify areas for improvement and optimization against the client's needs.

  • Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications for the development team.

Documentation:

  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including business requirements, process flows, and user stories.

  • Ensure that documentation is clear, concise, and aligned with industry best practices.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, engineers, and the Product Manager, to ensure successful project delivery.

Problem Solving:

  • Identify and address issues and risks proactively, working collaboratively with the team to find effective solutions.

  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues that arise during the development and testing phases.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field desirable but not required.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

  • Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality work.

Desired Skills:

  • Familiarity with software development processes and methodologies.

  • Experience with tools such as JIRA for project management and issue tracking.

  • Basic knowledge of database concepts and SQL.

  • Understanding of user experience (UX) principles.

  • Knowledge of industry best practices in business analysis.

  • Understanding of testing principles and best practices.
