Sherbourne Preschool is a community based centre, providing three and four-year-old sessional kindergarten programs. Located in leafy Montmorency, the kinder is well established and set in a beautiful natural garden setting. We believe in providing children with a challenging, engaging and stimulating learning environment and strongly value the importance of play-based programs. Our team is committed to the safety and wellbeing of all children.

Description

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Cert III trained early childhood educator to join our vibrant kindergarten. The role is to work as a key member of the team with early childhood teachers and other educators, to deliver our 3YO & 4YO program. Session times: Monday 12:30-4pm Wednesday 8:15-4:15pm Friday 8:15-4:15pm The successful candidate will have a passion for working in the early years sector and will work cooperatively as part of a team to assist in the provision of a healthy, safe and welcoming environment for the children. You will aim to participate in the provision a high-quality program that ensures the support of the children's learning and development. Qualities you will have will include:

  • A creative and cooperative team player
  • Value making fulfilling connections with children and families.
  • Have an interest in natural play spaces and nurturing children's care and respect for the outdoors
  • Experience in play-based and emergent curriculum
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Commitment to excellence in early childhood
