A major bank is seeking a Senior Network Engineer with expertise in Software-Defined Access (SDA). This is an initial 12 month contract likely to extend.

You will be instrumental in designing and implementing network security solutions to safeguard the organization's data. Your primary focus will be on deploying a NAC solution across the corporate office network to enforce access controls for end devices. 

Responsibilities:

  • NAC and SDA Solution Design: Collaborate with various teams to understand security requirements and design NAC solutions within the framework of Cisco's Software-Defined Access. Develop comprehensive network architecture diagrams, deployment plans, and configuration templates for NAC and SDA implementation.
  • Implementation and Deployment: Lead the implementation of NAC solutions integrated with Cisco's SDA architecture across the Corporate Office Network infrastructure. Configure Cisco network devices, including Catalyst switches and DNA Center (Catalyst Center), to support NAC policies within the SDA fabric.
  • Policy Definition and Enforcement: Define access control policies aligned with organizational security policies and compliance requirements, leveraging the capabilities of Cisco's SDA architecture. Configure NAC policies within the SDA fabric to enforce role-based access control (RBAC), device compliance checks, and guest access management.
  • Integration and Testing: Integrate NAC and SDA solutions with identity management systems, authentication servers, and security information and event management (SIEM) platforms. Conduct thorough testing of NAC and SDA functionalities to validate policy enforcement, network segmentation, and user authentication mechanisms within the SDA fabric.
  • Documentation and Training: Document NAC and SDA configurations, deployment procedures, and troubleshooting guidelines within the SDA fabric.

Key Skills/ Experience

  • Extensive experience with Cisco networking technologies, including Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE), Catalyst switches, Cisco Secure Network Analytics (SNA) and Cisco Software-Defined Access (SDA).
  • Strong understanding of network security concepts, including access control, encryption, and radius authentication protocols
  • Proficiency in campus network design principles within an SDA context.
  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python) and CI/CD Pipelines for automation and integration tasks within SDA environments.
  • Experience with log management and analysis toolsets such as Elastic/ELK and Splunk.
