About The Role:
As a Key Worker, you will play an important leadership role within our NDIS programs, providing high-quality, person-centred support to participants while mentoring and guiding a team of Support Workers.
Reporting to the Regional Manager, you'll be responsible for ensuring consistent service delivery, maintaining quality standards, and supporting participants to achieve their NDIS goals. This role combines hands-on participant support with leadership and coordination responsibilities to create a safe, empowering, and inclusive environment for both participants and staff.
Your responsibilities will include:
Providing direct support to participants in line with their NDIS goals and individualised care plans.
Acting as a senior point of contact for staff, families, and stakeholders regarding day-to-day support needs.
Mentoring Support Workers to ensure quality and consistency across services.
Monitoring daily operations, documentation, and shift handovers to ensure compliance and accuracy.
Supporting participants to develop life skills, independence, and community connections.
Ensuring adherence to NDIS Practice Standards, incident reporting, and medication procedures.
Liaising with the Regional Manager regarding staffing, participant progress, and operational matters.
What We are Looking For
We're looking for a caring and reliable Key Worker who takes pride in delivering high-quality, person-centred support to our NDIS participants.
This role would suit someone with strong experience as a Support Worker who's ready to step into a more senior position. You'll be confident supporting participants with complex needs and enjoy mentoring others to build their skills and confidence.
You'll have great communication and problem-solving skills, can work well under pressure, and have a flexible approach to managing day-to-day challenges. You'll also take initiative, keep documentation up to date, and work closely with the Regional Manager to ensure participants receive consistent, quality support.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Previous experience in the disability or community sector (NDIS experience preferred).
A good understanding of person-centred and trauma-informed support practices.
The ability to mentor and support other staff to deliver quality services.
Experience supporting participants with high or complex support needs.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Confidence using systems such as CTARS or similar.
A proactive attitude and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Requirements:
Certificate IV or Diploma in Disability, Community Services or similar.
Current Driver's Licence.
Current First Aid and CPR certificates.
NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check.
Understanding of NDIS Practice Standards and safeguarding requirements.
Desirable
Tertiary studies in Clinical Psychology or related discipline.
Additional qualifications in Youth or Community Services.
Experience working with children and young people in Out of Home Care (OOHC).
