**LOOKING FOR CASUAL/PART TIME DISABILITY SUPPORT WORKERS FOR PENRITH AREA (KINGSWOOD)**

**Are you looking for a new challenge?** **Are you looking for regular rostered hours?**

Pegasus Care is looking for casual disability support workers to work a consistent roster supporting a young female NDIS Participant in a Supported Independent Living project at Kingswood

To be successful applicants should demonstrate experience in mental health and trauma, as well as an understanding of support provisions for level 3 autism.

The successful applicant will be supported by a cohesive team of support workers, a key worker and team leader to learn the specific skills to excel in this role. Ongoing training is provided.

You will need well developed interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a Team and you will need good communication _(both written and verbal)_ skills and the ability to follow the routines and protocols in the setting in which you work.
- **To ensure the smooth running of the programme, all staff are required to commit to a minimum of 30 hours per week across 24 hours.**_

The successful applicant **must be able to show experience in some or all** of the following:

- Previous sector experience
- Willing to assist with Personal Care as required.
- Managing Challenging Behaviour and Behaviour Support
- Experience understanding Autism supports
- Demonstrated experience in mental health and trauma.
- Implementation of Individual Goals, Plans, Routines
- Friendly, Personable and motivational
- Ability to set and maintain professional boundaries
- 100 points of ID
- The right to work in Australia
- Certificate III or IV in Disability Work (or similar)
- NSW Drivers Licence, reliable Registered vehicle with Comprehensive Insurance
- NDIS Worker Screening Check Clearance Certificate.
- Current NSW Working With Children Check
- Current National Police Check
- Completed NDIS Worker Induction Module - Quality, Safety & You
- Completed Mealtime Management Training (on line NDIS module)
- Medication Administration Certificate
- Infection Control Training - COVID-19 Certificate (or similar)
- Current First Aid/CPR Certificate
- Provide evidence of vehicle registration
- Evidence of COVID-19 vaccination.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual

Pay: From $41.76 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week
