The Royal Melbourne Hospital

  • Exciting opportunity to work within the Finance and Logistics portfolio of The Royal Melbourne Hospital.
  • Hybrid work model, salary packaging, 5 weeks annual leave plus ADO.
  • Permanent - full time position.

The role will primarily support the Corporate Controllers team within the Finance and Logistics portfolio at the Royal Melbourne Hospital. The Finance and Logistics portfolio delivers comprehensive financial and operational support, including payroll, accounts payable, financial reporting, procurement, and facilities management for the Royal Melbourne Hospital and as shared services to other public hospitals. Reporting to the Financial Accountant, you will be an integral part of the finance team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Working collaboratively to assist in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of payroll related financial processes.
  • Assisting with month end close process, balance sheet reconciliations, annual statutory reporting and other legislative compliance.
  • Helping identify and drive process improvements.
  • Liaising and building strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assisting in other ad hoc tasks and projects as required.

About You

  • Tertiary qualification in Commerce, Finance or a related discipline and aspiring to or working towards CPA or CA.
  • Highly driven, proactive and a self-starter.
  • The ability to work to deadlines in a pressured environment and problem solve.
  • A high level of attention to detail.
  • Excellent Excel skills.
