QEM is currently seeking Diesel Fitters

We are seeking experienced HD Fitters to join our team for project's in Cairns QLD and NT.

Queensland Earthmoving Maintenance (QEM) is a locally owned and operated company supporting the Mining, Civil and Construction Industries. We specialise in heavy equipment and earthmoving machinery maintenance, offering both workshop and field service support across Far North Queensland.

We are growing and looking for motivated individuals who want to be part of a professional, hands-on team that takes care of its people.

Key Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance and repairs of various Civil and Construction Machinery
  • Component change outs, shut downs and repairs to Caterpillar Surface Mining Equipment
  • Fault finding diagnostic repairs
  • Able to work safely and follow onsite policies and procedures
  • Completion of daily safety paperwork and maintenance records

The successful candidate will require

Australian citizenship is required for this position.

  • A Cert III in Mechanical Trade Qualification (heavy vehicle preferred)
  • A minimum of 2 years post trade experience is desirable
  • Air Conditioning Certificate (desirable)
  • A curent 'C Class' licence or HR licence
  • Ability to work cohesively as part of a small team
  • Able to pass a Pre-Employment Medical including Drug and Alcohol Screen and Police Check
  • Working at Heights, EWP, Forklift, Confined space and White Card tickets beneficial
  • 2 contactable references
