About the Region

Covering over 6,500 km² and more than 1,000 km of state-controlled roads, the South Coast Region spans from the NSW border to Springwood and west to Boonah. The region includes the Gold Coast, Logan City, and Scenic Rim – making it a central hub for transport planning, construction, and operations.

About the Role

As a Human Resource Advisor within the Program Support division, you will play a critical role in delivering end-to-end HR support across recruitment, workforce planning, performance management, and change initiatives.

You will be a go-to advisor for managers and employees, offering sound guidance and project support in a fast-paced, operationally focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise stakeholders on performance and conduct matters; attend performance meetings and draft related documentation.

  • Lead and support recruitment processes – from advertising to onboarding.

  • Deliver HR presentations to leadership teams and staff across the region.

  • Provide policy advice and interpret legislation to offer effective, practical solutions.

  • Contribute to initiatives that strengthen leadership capability, organisational culture, and workforce planning.

  • Support complex HR and change management projects that enhance business outcomes.

What You Bring

  • Strong HR generalist experience, preferably in the public sector or infrastructure environment.

  • Confident communicator with the ability to influence and guide stakeholders at all levels.

  • Knowledge of HR legislation, industrial instruments, and best practices.

  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach with excellent analytical skills.
