Role
We are looking for an inspiring and proactive Head of College Services to join our leadership team at Kaplan International College (KIC) Adelaide. In this pivotal role, you will work closely with the College Director to deliver and maintain high-quality operations across the College. You will lead and support our Administration and Academic staff, while driving initiatives that enhance the student journey, from retention and transition through to graduation and articulation.
This is an exciting opportunity to combine operational excellence with people leadership, ensuring our administration teams deliver exceptional customer service to students, staff, and key stakeholders. Responsibilities
- Lead and develop administration staff, including recruitment, onboarding, professional development, and performance management.
- Oversee student services functions, including orientation, enrolment, counselling support, and the management of appeals and complaints.
- Champion student retention and transition initiatives, ensuring smooth pathways from KIC Adelaide into The University of Adelaide.
- Collaborate with academic and administrative teams to manage timetabling, subject selection, attendance monitoring, and articulation processes.
- Maintain compliance and regulatory standards, contributing to policy development and ensuring accurate reporting.
- Strengthen student engagement through events, social media, student representation, and communication with sponsorship bodies.
- Drive continuous improvement in customer service, using feedback and data to enhance the student and staff experience.
- Foster a positive, safe, and supportive workplace culture, aligned with Kaplan's values and commitment to wellbeing.
Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant field. (essential)
- Proven experience in management and team leadership. (essential)
- 1-2 years experience in a student services role working with international students (essential)
- Strong understanding of education sector legislation and regulatory requirements. (essential)
- Excellent organisational, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and develop staff.
- Skilled in policy interpretation, innovation, and leading change.
- High level of computer literacy and familiarity with student management systems.
