About the role

Signature Support Care is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to join our team in North Brisbane and Moreton Bay, QLD. This is a casual position, offering the flexibility to create your own schedule and work-life balance. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate care and assistance to our clients, helping them to maintain their independence and quality of life.

What you'll be doing

  • Assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and light housekeeping
  • Providing companionship and engaging clients in social and recreational activities
  • Monitoring clients' health and well-being, and reporting any changes or concerns to the care team
  • Adhering to all relevant safety and quality standards, as well as company policies and procedures
  • Collaborating with the care team to ensure the delivery of high-quality, person-centred support

What we're looking for

  • A relevant Certificate III or IV in Aged Care, Disability Support, or a similar field
  • Experience in a similar role, providing care and support to others
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with clients and their families
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for enhancing the lives of our participants
  • A valid driver's licence and reliable transport
  • A NDIS Workers Clearance
  • Valid Working with Children Check
  • Current CPR and First Aid
  • Flexibility to work different hours - including day shifts, afternoons, active overnights and weekends
  • A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and respecting client privacy
