ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the Chief Legal Officer, this newly created position plays a key role in supporting Hampshire's growth through expert legal guidance on property acquisitions, disposals and due diligence processes.

  • Provide strategic advice on acquisition structures, title complexities, easements, and subdivisions
  • Coordinate with external advisors, financiers, and consultants to complete transactions efficiently
  • Identify key risks and prepare due diligence reports with clear, practical recommendations
  • Advise on property, planning, and environmental matters relevant to land acquisition and development
  • Maintain and improve acquisition precedents, templates, and contract registers
  • Support Hampshire's acquisition pipeline by providing timely, business-focused legal input

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

  • Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or equivalent, with a current unrestricted practising certificate
  • 4–6+ years' post-admission experience in property law, with a focus on acquisitions and due diligence
  • Excellent drafting and negotiation skills across property and commercial transactions
  • Strong analytical ability and attention to detail
  • Commercially minded with the ability to balance legal risk with business goals
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Experience in land leasing, mixed-use communities, or large-scale property projects will be highly regarded
  • Prior in-house experience (or experience advising property developers) is desirable

WHY WORK FOR US?

  • Join a trusted, family-owned business with a national footprint
  • Enjoy the flexibility of fully remote work as part of our Shared Services team
  • Be part of a supportive, collaborative and growth-minded culture
  • Work directly with senior leaders to make a tangible impact on major projects
