A bit about the role

If you like getting out in the community and building strong, mutually beneficial professional relationships this could be the role for you

Our Youth Engagement Coordinators are responsible for a variety of projects and activities that help engage disadvantaged and vulnerable young people with our services. This role's primary purpose is to bridge the gap between our Transition to Work Program and the young people it aims to help. Key Requirements:

  • Minimum Certificate IV qualification in Mental Health, Youth Work, Community Services or Career Development is essential and non-negotiable.
  • Experience in employment services, training industries, and/or community/youth sectors, preferably with a track record of achievements and impact is required.
  • Ability to engage and work effectively with diverse client groups, understanding their needs and delivering tailored support and guidance.
  • Demonstratable interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with clients, stakeholders, and partners, fostering collaborative relationships for effective service delivery.

Does this sound like you?

  • You're a born networker and communicator with the ability to leverage your professional relationship building skills to create real service impact
  • You have a natural ability to connect with young people and understand their needs, creating unique solutions to fill their unique needs.
  • You know Melbourne's Western Suburbs well and can use your connections to help develop employment and training opportunities for young people.
