Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Hotel Operations professional with strong career aspirations to progress towards a General Manager role. This opportunity is ideal for an individual who is ready to embrace the challenge of leading within a dynamic and fast-paced hotel environment.
The Hotel Manager is part of our Senior Executive Management team and therefore requires the successful individual to have extensive experience and knowledge of overall hotel operations.
Some of your main responsibilities include:
- Ensure the smooth day-to-day running of all hotel operational departments, including front office, housekeeping, food & beverage, and engineering.
- Monitor budgets, control costs, and drive revenue growth through effective planning, forecasting, and performance analysis.
- Maintain high standards of service, property maintenance, handle escalated guest concerns, and ensure customer satisfaction to drive loyalty and positive reviews.
- Recruit, develop, engage, and manage team members, fostering a positive workplace culture and ensuring compliance in conjunction with People & Culture.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency, enhance guest experience, and increase profitability.
- Oversee adherence to health, safety, and legal regulations, including guest and team health & safety and licensing requirements.
- Manage short-term and long-term projects, including CAPEX items.
Qualifications
Requirements of this role are as follows:
- Previous experience as a Rooms Division Manager or Front Office Manager essential. Previous experience in other Operational Management roles will be considered.
- Solid understanding of financial management, budgeting, and revenue optimisation within the hospitality sector.
- Ability to manage competing priorities, and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to manage multiple hotel departments and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
- Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a diverse team while fostering a positive workplace culture.
- Full Australian working rights due to the position being a permanent full-time opportunity.
- Must be available to provide flexibility to work over a 7-Day roster to meet business needs
