About the opportunity
The Executive Assistant supports the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research) (DVCR) within the Office of the DVCR, and other Senior Managers in the Research Division. This role focuses on delivering administrative and operational support, contributing to project coordination, and supporting processes and initiatives that align with divisional objectives and our University and People Strategies.
What you'll do:
- Provide support to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research), including diary management, preparation of internal and external communications, travel planning and administrative support, anticipating needs and ensuring timely and accurate support.
- Assisting the Advisor, Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research) with key projects, operational processes, reporting and administration, and contributing to the continuous improvement of systems and processes.
- Support and promotion of the University's Digital Workspace administration and activities.
- Maintaining the Research Division intranet pages and liaising with Marketing to ensure consistent presentation and current content on external facing web pages.
- Fostering and enhancing effective communication within the Research Division.
- Oversight of the University's commitments to Research focused scholarship programs and initiatives as directed.
- Undertaking other duties as assigned by the Advisor, Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research).
What we're looking for:
- Demonstrated organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise tasks, meet multiple deadlines, manage a diverse range of administrative tasks, provide excellent customer service, exercise diplomacy and maintain utmost confidentiality.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the proven capacity and confidence to build relationships and effectively communicate with a diverse range of stakeholders at all levels and work effectively within a team environment and demonstrate a flexible approach to work and tasks with the ability to retain composure in a pressured work environment.
- Ability to work autonomously and ability to work collaboratively in a team culture, contributing to team planning and shared tasks with confidence and sensitivity towards team members.
- Skilled in use of Microsoft Office suite, including PowerPoint and Excel.
- Experience working in a high-pressure environment.
- An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training in a similar position.
Salary details
Appointment to this role will be at HEO 5 and will have a total remuneration package of up to $105,665 comprising base salary within the range of $80,869 to $90,312 plus 17% superannuation.
