About the role

Temporary full time opportunity to deliver advanced level clinical knowledge, skills, experience, and leadership in the physiotherapy management of adult patients in the specialist area of rehabilitation.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Provide advanced level skills, knowledge and contemporary clinical practice in the physiotherapy management of adult patients in the area of sub-acute rehabilitation to provide optimal patient outcomes, in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards.
  • Demonstrate ability to apply high level level negotiation and conflict resolution skills for physiotherapy services at STARS, within the rehabilitation team and across Metro North HHS in conjunction with the senior management, multidisciplinary team and with relevant stakeholders across STARS
  • Provide leadership, strategic direction, and daily operational management to the STARS physiotherapy rehabilitation team. This includes resource management, facilitating staff competency and career development, and providing clinical practice supervision to physiotherapists and allied health assistants. Participation in staff recruitment and performance appraisal processes are performed in conjunction with the Director of physiotherapy.
