Advanced Training Resident Pharmacist Emergency Department

About the role
Fixed term temporary full time opportunity to contribute to practice and service development, innovation and activities that improve medicines management for patients accessing Pharmacy services in the Emergency and Trauma Centre at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital (RBWH). Provide expert professional support and advice to the multidisciplinary team including the ETC Pharmacy team.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Applicants will have completed the SHPA Foundation residency program or equivalent, as evidenced by a portfolio
- Supervise Pharmacy Interns and support staff and participate in efficient and effective medicines dispensing services.
- Develop and maintain multidisciplinary internal and external networks of health professionals, and actively contribute positive input to relevant departmental meetings and committees as required.
- Provide advice and assistance to multi-disciplinary health professional staff in the ETC about pharmacy services, policies, and procedures, and promote quality use of medicines, medication safety principles, and the role of the pharmacist within the hospital.
