Perth Integrated Health is seeking an Occupational Therapist to grow their dynamic team, where they can enhance the independence and quality of life for individuals.

ABOUT PERTH INTEGRATED HEALTH

Perth Integrated Health (PIH) is a private organisation with more than 42 years of clinical experience and networks with a focus on sports medicine, clinical medicine and NDIS. We have centres based in Applecross, Balcatta, Midland alongside home-based therapy where we provide a range of multi-disciplinary services including occupational therapy, podiatry, physiotherapy, exercise physiology, radiology, as well as sports medicine consultancy to the Western Australia sector. Accredited with the NDIS, the leadership team span decades also with a known track record in clinical research, sports medicine and medical business development.

THE ROLE

Duties may include:

  • Clinic based therapy
  • Conducting home assessments and client home based therapy
  • Assessing and prescribing assistive technology
  • Assisting with consultations with clients, carers, health professionals, stakeholders, and service providers.

THE CANDIDATE

We are seeking a candidate who brings valuable experience to grow our team, particularly in the area of clinic/home based assessments and therapy and assistive technology assessment prescription. The candidate will have:

  • A passion for providing person centered supports.
  • Strong time management and organisational skills.
  • Positive solutions focused outlook.
  • Advanced interpersonal, presentational and communication skills.
  • Advanced ICT skills (including use of databases and Microsoft Office suite applications).
  • The ability to work with individuals, care givers, health professionals and other staff within a consultative and collaborative environment to achieve positive outcomes for clients.
  • Current registration with AHPRA.
  • Experience working with people with disabilities
  • Willingness to learn advanced therapy techniques using highly specialised cognitive tools.
  • Willingness to learn musculoskeletal therapy using unique state of the art neurological equipment.

Prerequisite for this role include:

  • NDIS worker Screening Check
  • Working with Children Check
  • Current First Aid and CPR
  • WA Drivers licence
