We are seeking a passionate Part-Time Centre Cook (up to 30 hrs per week, Mon–Fri) to join our boutique early learning service (capacity is less than 50 places). In this role you'll prepare fresh, healthy, and culturally inclusive meals that support the wellbeing, learning, and development of young children.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare and serve nutritious daily meals and snacks for children
  • Develop and rotate menus aligned with Nutrition Australia guidelines and ACECQA requirements
  • Cater for all dietary needs, including allergies, intolerances, and cultural preferences
  • Maintain compliance with Food Safety Standards, HACCP, and the Education and Care National Law & Regulations
  • Manage ordering, stock rotation, and kitchen cleanliness
  • Work collaboratively with educators and families to promote healthy eating habits

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
  • Food Handling Certificate (Food Safety Supervisor preferred)
  • Experience in childcare, school, or aged care kitchens (desirable)
  • Understanding of HACCP, menu planning, and food safety programs
  • Working with Children Check (VIC)
  • Current First Aid and CPR (preferred)
  • Full Australian working rights
