The Opportunity
Downer's Energy & Utilities team is seeking applications for an Electrical Apprentice to join our team in Dandenong South VIC, commencing mid-January 2026. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in high-voltage power works, including substations, circuit breakers, and secondary systems such as battery banks. You'll be part of a skilled team delivering critical infrastructure projects across Victoria, with a strong focus on safety, learning, and career growth.

About You

  • Hold a Driver's Licence and valid working rights in Australia
  • Completed Year 12 (preferred), with strong results in Maths and English
  • Ideally completed a pre-apprenticeship or have a strong interest in electrical work
  • Motivated to build a long-term career with Downer
  • A reliable team player who values safety and continuous learning
