Construct Services is an industry leader in insurance repairs specialising in the Commercial, Heritage, Strata and Major Loss Residential sectors across Australia. We pride ourselves on providing unrivalledcustomer satisfaction and quality workmanship on each and every repair we conduct. Due to an expansion in our Major and Complex Loss claims portfolio, we are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join the team. 

This is a dynamic, fast paced and results driven role which will require you to be able to think on your feet and work with a variety of people, including internal staff members, clients and customers. We are offering a permanent full-time position with an attractive remuneration package, based in Melbourne.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee select projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with project teams, including architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers, to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Develop and implement project plans, including scheduling, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
  • Oversee and assist with the selection tools, materials and equipment and track inventory.
  • Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs to ensure an acceptable profitable margin.
  • Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status.
  • Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts and obtain permits and licences.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are understood and met throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the project manager team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards.

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 5 years' experience as a Project Manager.
  • Construction Management Degree/Qualification in Building & Construction.
  • Relevant state Builders Licence.
  • A valid full driver's licence.
  • Insurance experience highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge and expertise in construction methodologies, and project management principles.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering major projects on time, within budget, and to client satisfaction.
  • Knowledge of construction codes, regulations, and safety standards
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team, sharing knowledge and experience in order to gain clear results.
  • Proficient in MS Project/Excel + other Construction Scheduling Software Platforms.
  • Honest and truthful at all times.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Knowledge and understanding of construction related OH&S legislation.
