Full-time Employment & Commercial Litigation Lawyer

Aitken Partners are looking for a dedicated lawyer to join our growing firm to work within the employment law & commercial litigation team.

The successful candidate will have experience and a genuine interest in all facets of employment law. While this position is to work primarily in our employment law team, there is also the opportunity to work closely with our commercial litigation team as part of this role.

An existing referral network or the passion to grow a practice is not mandatory but will be highly regarded.

In addition to your technical legal skills, you should have the following attributes:

  • Strong client engagement and networking skills.
  • Ability to run your own files and work autonomously.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • A keen eye for attention to detail.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Be a team player who will work collaboratively with other team members.

The role

As a lawyer in our employment law and commercial litigation teams, you will be working on a broad variety of employment law files, providing advice and representation in disciplinary processes, termination disputes, underpayment claims, bullying and harassment and other employment-related claims. You may also work on litigation and insolvency related files, including but not limited to shareholder and director disputes, corporate and personal insolvency, contractual disputes and complex debt recovery matters.
