The Stump is one of Victoria's oldest and most iconic country pubs — a lively Port Fairy institution serving up great food, local wines, and good times in a relaxed coastal setting. Our menu celebrates fresh, local produce with a focus on honest, quality pub fare done well.

We're looking for passionate and reliable Chefs, Cooks, and Prep Chefs to join our kitchen team as we head into a busy season on the coast.

About the Role

You'll be working alongside a supportive and experienced Head Chef and team to deliver consistently high-quality meals in a fast-paced, friendly environment.

Depending on your role and experience, duties may include:

  • Food preparation and service during lunch and dinner shifts
  • Assisting with menu prep and stock rotation
  • Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen
  • Adhering to food safety and hygiene standards
  • Supporting and mentoring junior staff (for senior roles)

About You

We're after team players with a great attitude and a genuine love of food. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience as a Chef, Cook, or Prep Chef in a busy kitchen environment
  • A strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays
  • A passion for producing quality food and working in a collaborative team
